The Revolutionary New Latchways PRD

The Latchways Personal Rescue Device (PRD) just makes sense. The PRD is a full-body harness system that allows for self rescue in the event of a fall.

Here’s how it works. The PRD includes a backpack with integral descender device with 65′ (20m) of spooled cord. After a fall, a worker pulls a parachute type rip cord which releases the descending system and slowly and gently lowers the worker to the ground. Once the wearer is on solid ground the harness can be quickly released and removed from the wearer.

The Latchways PRD is ideal for workers who need fall protection in remote locations where rescue may not be a quick or easy option. It gives workers the peace of mind knowing that they have a harness that meets ANSI Z359.1 and a descender that complies with ANSI Z359.4.
